Purpose: This research study aims to examine the degree of psychological empowerment, organizational commitment, working environment, and person-centered care of workers at long-term care facilities and identify factors influencing their person-centered care. Methods: Subjects were selected through convenience sampling and included 154 care workers employed by and working at seven long-term care facilities in two cities. Self-reported questionnaires were administered from July 25 to September 11, 2024 to obtain study data. The IBM SPSS 29.0 program conducted data analysis using descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlations, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: Of the three factors studied, working environment (β=.39, p<.001) exerted the most significant effect on person-centered care, followed by psychological empowerment (β=.32, p<.001) and organizational commitment (β=.14, p=.042). These factors were indicative of an explanatory power of 40.0%. Conclusion: To reinforce person-centered care at long-term care facilities, this study determined that the working environment must be improved, a program to promote psychological empowerment should be developed and implemented, and support to increase organizational commitment within the facilities should be provided.
