Purpose: This study was conducted to identify suicide risk factors among out-of-school adolescents and to explore variations in these factors according to suicide risk levels by employing multiple regression and quantile regression analyses. Methods: Data analysis was conducted on information obtained from 752 out-of-school adolescents to examine general characteristics, self-esteem, childhood abuse and neglect, social support, depression, and suicide risk. Results: Multiple regression analysis demonstrated that depression and self-esteem were significant predictors of suicide risk. Quantile regression revealed that all percentiles were consistently influenced by depression, while self-esteem showed a negative association at the 25th and 75th percentiles. Social support demonstrated a positive effect at the 25th and a negative effect at the 75th percentile. Although childhood abuse was significant only at the 75th percentile, childhood neglect was not found to be significant across any percentile. Conclusion: This study identified the differential effects of factors influencing the level of suicide risk among out-of-school adolescents. Suicide prevention strategies should be tailored to reflect the specific needs of each at-risk group.
